Project Profile

Easter Lutheran Church, Eagan, MN

Services Provided: Site review, forensic investigation and options report, field measuring and documentation, design solutions and cost analysis, material selections, bid format construction drawings. Roof systems design.

The Challenge: The Hill Campus facility’s siding, windows and finishes were aging and required window replacement and refresh of exterior finishes and colors.

The newer facility, that was designed by others, was having condensation issues and flashing leaks.

The Solution: (The Hill) church/campus had all the windows replaced with an efficient Low-E double-hung system and fiber substrate siding. A permeable air barrier and flashing was installed with new windows and long-term paint finishes. In the process we created a new Cross with custom metal cladding for the exterior which maintains the existing scale and pays tribute to the original Cross provided by the first Pastor’s father. Teamwork with church members drove the exterior color pallet. Cost effective solutions were implemented to extend the life of the existing Kalwall windows above the main sanctuary.

(The Lake) new Campus required forensic investigation and roof reviews. The result was repair of flashings, eliminating thermal short circuits and solving improper venting causing condensation via a new roof system.
